Women's Health and Reflexology

As an experienced reflexologist and massage therapist, I've worked with hundreds of women suffering from various health problems over the years. Most of these women are experiencing ailments that could be eliminated or at least reduce the severity by improving their health. Reflexology is all about holistic healing with complementary (not alternative) therapies that assist or help speed up the body's natural healing process.

Reflexology is a holistic treatment that involves stimulating specific points in the feet to help balance the body and relieve stress.

It can help with hormonal issues, including PMS and menopause. It can also be used to improve sleep quality and reduce stress levels, which may result in improvements to your mental wellbeing.

Women’s health is dependent on many things, but hormonal balance is a key factor in our wellbeing. Throughout our fertile years our reproductive hormones naturally fluctuate during a monthly cycle. Hormonal changes also occur at different stages of woman’s life such as puberty, pregnancy, and menopause. Therefore, it is helpful for women to recognise their own unique changes as they will affect us al differently – both physically and emotionally.

Stress, a common response to the demands of everyday life, can have several negative effects on your health. It can cause hormonal issues including irregular periods, fertility problems, and hot flashes. Stress can also contribute to sleep issues such as insomnia and restless sleep; digestive disorders like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis; headaches; depression; weight gain.

In addition to affecting physical health directly, stress has been shown to affect mental health in a negative way. Stress can lead people to overeat or under-exercise—often resulting in weight gain—and increase the risk of developing substance abuse problems such as alcoholism or drug addiction.

You may already know that a healthy sleep routine can help reduce stress, but did you know that stress can affect your ability to fall asleep and stay asleep? Stress affects the body in many ways. It triggers the release of adrenaline, which is your body's fight-or-flight hormone. When this happens over an extended period of time or when you are under significant emotional or physical stressors, it increases cortisol levels—the stress hormone—in the body. These high levels of cortisol make it difficult for people to get comfortable enough for deep sleep because they're too tense from their daily activities.

Menopause is defined as the time in a woman's life when her periods stop and she stops having babies. The average age range of menopause is between 45-50 years old but it can occur any time after 40. Perimenopause refers to the period before menopause when the body begins to make fewer eggs and eventually stops producing them entirely. This transition can cause symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings or joint pain which are not only uncomfortable but also take a toll on your quality of life!

Reflexology is a holistic treatment that involves stimulating specific points in the feet to help balance the body and relieve stress. It helps with hormone issues, sleep, PMS and menopause. Reflexology can also be used by pregnant women to help them stay comfortable during pregnancy and after birth. Reflexology is a great way to help women with a wide range of issues, from stress and hormonal problems to sleep problems. It can be used as a preventative measure or for treatment when other methods have failed. If you're looking for an alternative way to manage your health, reflexology might be the answer.
